Located in the heart of Shenzhen’s Futian district, Rocksalt is a contemporary Asian grill and teppanyaki restaurant. The venue accommodates up to 102 guests across various dining zones, including counter seating, private rooms, and open dining areas.

The interior concept draws inspiration from the restaurant’s name—Rocksalt—anchoring the design in a narrative of elemental contrasts. Natural stone walls and volcanic rock textures create a strong, tactile presence throughout the space, while refined timber panelling and warm, amber-toned lighting soften the materiality, evoking a sense of intimacy and sophistication.

The layout is defined by its open kitchen and teppanyaki counters, which establish a dynamic and interactive dining experience. Diners are seated in a semi-theatrical arrangement around the chefs, allowing them to engage with the culinary process while being immersed in a highly detailed, carefully choreographed setting.

A restrained palette of earthy tones is complemented by subtle injections of colour—seen in deep green glazed tiles, red velvet upholstery, and hand-painted wallpaper featuring stylised koi motifs. These cultural and artisanal references ground the space in an Asian sensibility without relying on overt symbolism, balancing modern elegance with contextual authenticity.
Custom-designed lighting fixtures, integrated millwork, and high-quality material finishes further underscore the restaurant’s commitment to craft and detail. The overall ambiance is both grounded and elevated—rooted in natural textures yet distinctly contemporary in mood.

Rocksalt Futian ultimately presents a spatial narrative that is bold yet balanced, offering a refined and immersive dining environment that reflects both the artistry of its cuisine and the strength of its identity.
