Tucked into the vibrant heart of Wanchai, Landau’s is a refined dining destination that celebrates craftsmanship, timeless design, and the urban fabric of Hong Kong. The project reflects a thoughtful interplay of architectural detailing, materiality, and context—creating a space that is as inviting as it is elegant.

From the exterior, Landau’s engages directly with Hong Kong’s network of elevated pedestrian walkways—an integral part of the city’s urban rhythm. The façade and open terrace connect with passers-by at eye level, offering a welcoming visual and spatial dialogue. This interaction transforms the restaurant into a natural extension of the streetscape, blurring boundaries between public infrastructure and private hospitality.

Stepping inside, guests are immersed in an atmosphere of subtle luxury. The design layers rich textures and materials—deep red lacquered wall panelling, mirror accents, and intricate metalwork—to create warmth, depth, and a sense of timelessness. Bespoke furniture pieces, including sculptural bar stools and tables with fine inlays, embody both utility and artistry. Upholstery in velvet and patterned textiles adds tactile richness, drawing inspiration from European heritage with a contemporary edge.

Color plays a significant role in shaping the emotional ambiance: red evokes intimacy, energy, and warmth, while yellow accents bring a sense of optimism and comfort—enhancing the culinary experience with sensory depth.

Outside, a classic bistro terrace channels the spirit of European café culture. Green woven chairs, monochrome marble flooring, and arched architectural details offer a relaxed yet elevated alfresco experience.
Whether seated in the Bar & Grill or the Dining Room, guests at Landau’s are surrounded by thoughtful design elements that reflect the restaurant’s core philosophy—where every detail contributes to the storytelling of place, craft, and culture.
